Description
ABSORBICA® is a compact energy absorber, to be used in combination with a JANE lanyard to form a fall arrest lanyard. Equipped with a tear-off strap, located in a pocket that can be opened at the ends, the absorber is protected from abrasion, while allowing periodic inspection. There are two possibilities of installing it on the harness depending on the frequency of handling.
- Designed to be used in combination with a JANE lanyard to form a fall arrest lanyard with a maximum length of two meters.
- Absorbs energy in the event of a fall:
- tearing of the energy absorber strap limiting the impact force suffered by the user,
- works with users weighing between 50 and 140 kg
- tearing in stages, in order to limit the deceleration undergone by the low weights.
- Minimal bulk: compact so as not to interfere with handling.
- Pouch in resistant fabric, with opening system at the ends, to protect the energy absorber from abrasion and projections, while allowing periodic inspection of the absorber.
- Two possibilities of installation on the harness depending on the use:
- frequent connections/disconnections: with a carabiner held in the correct position by a STRING holding accessory (delivered with the absorber) or with a MICRO SWIVEL swivel to avoid twisting,
- quasi-permanent connection: with a RING OPEN openable ring whose circular shape ensures optimal positioning or with a SWIVEL OPEN swivel to avoid twisting.
