Description
Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for work at height and difficult access
The I'D S self-braking descender is mainly intended for work at height and difficult access. It has an ergonomic handle to comfortably control the descent. The integrated anti-panic function and the error warning trigger limit the risk of accidents in the event of incorrect use. The AUTO-LOCK system makes it easy to position yourself at the workstation, without having to manipulate the handle and make a stop key. Once blocked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The locking pawl allows the rope to be installed while keeping the device connected to the harness. I'D S is compatible with ropes from 10 to 11.5 mm and allows the handling of loads up to 250 kg.

- Description
- Designed for work at height and difficult access.
- Ease of use :
- - has a locking ratchet on the movable flange allowing easy installation of the rope, while keeping the device connected to the harness,
- - easy installation of the rope, thanks to guidance and indicative markings,
- - error warning trigger to limit the risk of accident due to incorrect installation of the rope,
- - ergonomic handle to release the rope and comfortably control the descent. Two possible lowering modes: on the flange or in the V-shaped braking groove,
- - anti-panic function automatically stopping the descent if the user pulls too hard on the handle,
- - allows fluid movements on horizontal surfaces or on inclined planes,
- - AUTO-LOCK system allowing easy positioning at the workstation, without having to manipulate the handle and make a stop key: as soon as the user releases the handle, the rope is automatically blocked in the device. The automatic return of the handle limits the risk of involuntary snagging,
- - the handle automatically switches to the storage position when the rope is removed from the device, which reduces the risk of involuntary snagging when the descender is worn on the harness.
- Versatility of use:
- - once blocked, the rope can be pulled up without having to manipulate the handle, which makes it possible to make a reversible hauling system or to easily perform short ascents on the rope,
- - cam that can be manipulated to easily take up slack or belay a leader in climbing technique,
- - screw for locking the mobile flange in order to integrate the I'D S into the emergency kits,
- - possibility of adding an additional brake, open or closed, for better control of the descent according to the load and the diameter of the rope.
- Protective reinforcement, in stainless steel on the friction zone of the rope, allowing to increase the resistance to wear.
- Lowering of heavy load up to 250 kg.
- Rope compatibility: 10 to 11.5 mm in diameter.
- Available in two colors: yellow and black.
